The Workshop
Our workshop sits behind the shop at Hout Bay Harbour. This is where Wim works – the same bench, the same tools, the same hands that have been making jewellery for over 40 years. If you visit on the right day you’ll see him there. Most customers stop and watch for a while. It is worth watching.
HOW WE WORK
Every gold piece we sell is made in-house. We don’t buy in pre-made settings or outsource our work. A piece begins as an idea – sometimes yours, sometimes ours – and is shaped, set and finished entirely by hand in our workshop. Our silver range is handcrafted locally in Cape Town by trusted makers we have worked with for years. Nothing we stock is mass produced or imported off a shelf.
THE STONES
We source our stones carefully and personally. Tanzanite from the Merelani Hills in Tanzania. Zambian emeralds. Ethiopian opal. Diamonds. Each stone is chosen for its quality, character and provenance. We know where every stone in our shop comes from and we are always happy to tell you.
BESPOKE
If you have something specific in mind we can make it. Bring us a sketch, a reference, an idea, or just a feeling – and we will work with you from there. Bespoke pieces are priced individually depending on materials and complexity. Custom work is one of our greatest pleasures.
FOR EVERY BUDGET
We stock pieces from R3,000 upwards. Whether you are looking for a meaningful silver tanzanite keepsake or a one-of-a-kind gold and diamond creation, every piece receives the same care and attention. As a tourist you can also claim the 15% VAT back at the airport – our team will help you with the paperwork.
